Collaborators

To extend our research area, we collaborate with advanced institutes.  They are Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, and Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, National Taiwan University.  We have strong links with those institutes and several researches are being conducted.

Facilities

CFD lab. of Taiwan Tech has rich computational resources.  We have two Hyper PC clusters comprising 24 AMD CPUs and 14 Intel CPUs.  Parallel computing can be performed in those cluster.  In addition to those clusters, we have several commercial programs including STAR-CDTM, CFD-ACE+TM, CFDesignTM and TecplotTM.  We also developed in-house codes based on the finite volume method and pseudospectral method.  To enhance research on scientific computation, Taiwan Tech imported a HP XC cluster comprising 304 AMD Opteron CPUs in the beginning of 2006(see Figure 1).  High performance compilers and libraries are available in the cluster.  In addition, several commercial codes such as CFDRCTM, ANSYSTM, Moldex3DTM, and so on are available too.  Researchers in CFD lab. of Taiwan Tech are permitted to perform their simulations in the cluster.
